New jobs all around!

It’s been quite hectic in the Belfonti household lately.
Arnie starts a new job tomorrow morning.  He’s going to be working for a company in Windsor from 10 - 6:30pm.  At first I wasn’t thrilled with the hours but then realized that he’ll be able to handle drop off of both girls AND if there’s a snow delay for school he can handle that as well.

And I accepted a new position as well.  I start a new job a week from tomorrow. I’m very excited because it is a new industry for me. For the past 12 years I’ve worked in the manufacturing industry (meaning that I’ve always interfaced with hardware of some sort or the other).  I’m going to be working for a bank - working on their website and automating their testing.

Olivia’s cardiologist appointment

Olivia had a cardiologist appointment on September 7.  She weighs 25.57 lbs and is 33″ tall.  Her heart rate was 120. Oxygen sats - 83%.

EKG was perfect and the echo looked great.
We upped her enalapril dose to 2 ml 2x a day.  We go back in 4 months (January).

Maddie’s Cardiologist appointment

We took Maddie to see Dr. Heller on September 7. Maddie was VERY nervous about going. I can’t say I blame her - knowing what her sister’s been through.

This appointment was a way for us to confirm there’s nothing wrong with Maddie’s heart. I was a bit concerned after hearing about  all these children who were dropping dead of undetected heart defects.

Maddie has a PERFECT heart! (Thank you GOD!).  She weighs 41 lbs and is 43″ tall.  Her oxygen sat was 99% and her blood pressure was 94/60.

Dr. Heller did an EKG and an echocardiogram on Maddie. We had to convince her the EKG wouldn’t hurt and once she had a sticker on her that didn’t hurt, she was good to go.  Her “favorite” part was the “jelly on the belly” as we called the echo.  I actually had a hard time understanding Maddie’s heart since I’m so used to Olivia’s.
